Necromantic Drow Sorcerer
A devoted follower of both sorcery and necromancy. Spending most of ones life slaving over such dark magic has it rewards and its drawbacks. The obvious reward is power. The drawback is the effect that such forbidden knowledge has on ones mind. Though driven slightly mad by the pursuit of this dark magic, his variety of skills is an undeniable asset to his House and its Priestesses, and thus he is held in high regard. Being notoriously peculiar in nature and a bit of a recluse, these types spend more time with the dead than the living.

If you’re wondering why this might look a little different from my usual stuff it’s because I kept my pencils on this one. I felt like inking all those little chains was just asking for trouble so I just scanned in my pencil sketch and colored it in PS. I like it a LOT but it was a total bitch to color.

This was originally intended as my contribution to the card deck project for *Lolth-Scourge. You can see the image on it's card here: Six of Clubs

When one passes from this world, what defines them as special?
Is it to be thought of?
Or is it to be THINK of...
The 'THINK' thought that stays with you, always there, is what keeps loved ones with you.

I know it takes a lot more time to color and everything, but you should really REALLY consider your uninked works. This looks so smooth and natural it's just plain amazing. Spectacular, even. Especially the lighting on the character (way to emphasize the musculature. Heh heh.) and the backgr-

Wait a tick.

YOU MADE A BACKGROUND!?! (a pretty awesome one at that.)

Heh, thanks. Wish I had more time to devote to drawing so I could try and do more pieces like this. I think I need to get a better grip on PS too though. I always feel so limited when coloring like this but I think it's just because I don't know the program as well as I should.

*huffs up* Yep I did a background! ...Well, kinda at least... I think it might still be more of a backdrop than a background, but it's closer at least. Did it directly on the comp too, so sketching on paper or nothing. I honestly didn't like it too much though and wasn't going to use it but Assey convinced me to keep it. It's slowly growing on me now.

Glad you approve though Sigs, and thanks for the honest comment. :)

Holy mother of sweet bunny rabbits! That is awesome! Number One; you made an awesome looking spell caster, so much different from the stereotypical skinny dude in heavy robes. This guy is hot and I love the smug look and...are those fangs. Very cool. I also adore his outfit, especially those spiked chains on his bracers. Number Two: The overall coloring, theme, etc is very well done and very detailed. If this is a deviation from your usual stuff, I say you have found something here. Number Three: I know you think you suck at action, but this had a lot of movement and action in it. You can just see him slamming his staff into the floor and conjuring nastiness while cakling. The skull was also a very nice touch as well. I normally suck at details like that, but that was rather detailed and very nice. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I  your drow and I'm so glad to see you doing them.

That is pretty cool. I liek the image, and the idea behind it, you do get that hint of maddness look on his face as well as feeling of "I matter, and I know it" from him, even with out the jade flame/ vampire skull(that also happens to be nicely done)
