Well, I didn’t win the contest. What sucks though is that I only lost by 9 measly little votes! The winner ended up with 60 votes and I had 51. I’m not being a sore loser about it but…I have to say, I am a bit disappointed at the turn out from my DA peeps…only 12 of ya voted. Tch! I’m not trying to be mean or rude to those that didn’t vote, I’m not even mad, I’m just plain shocked…I’ve got just over 730 watchers, and it just surprised me that only 12 participated. It’s crazy…almost like you’ve all got lives of your own and junk. Ya buncha punks!

In the end though, something cool did end up happening, so excuse me while I dork out for a moment... Though I promise I won’t go so far as to squeal like a little fangirl. Achem! *composes self* So, apparently one of the actresses from the show (the one who plays and voices Foofa, the pink flower thing) saw my entry and liked it so much that she wants a Gooble plushie. Foofa is my 2-year-old daughter’s favorite character on the show. She lugs her Foofa toy everywhere we go, and sings, plays, and fights with the thing. She’s like…obsessed with it. So I let the actress lady know that if she really wanted a Gooble plushie, I’d make her one. I was contacted back and given her address and was told that if I passed along my phone number she could call my daughter and talk to her as Foofa. I mean, come on and think about, when you were a little kid, how psyched would you be if yer childhood TV hero called you up on the phone for a little chat? Epic win!

Still though, Talia is insanely shy and would probably freeze up and just smile and…not really talk much. She does that sometimes, but at other times she shows off her smarts and turns into a little chatterbox. So I am undecided. As an alternative, I was thinking about seeing if the actress would take a photo of herself (in full costume), holding the Gooble plushie I made, and then I’d put it up on the wall in Talia’s room. Not quite sure so I haven’t asked the lady yet. Still gotta get that plushie made though too!

And in other news more relevant to this account, I am also working on a Drow Plushie…just having trouble with the damned feet!

But anyway, I sincerely appreciate those of you that tried to help in the contest and voted for me. The list of those that voted are below and I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet, but I will try and do something special (at some point) for the 12 of you to show my appreciation. Maybe raffle off a picture, or do some simple sketches (maybe with flat colors) for ya, or possibly a contest just for the 12 of ya… With the winner getting their character depicted with Szordrin in a manner of my own choosing. I dunno yet, I am still thinking about it and I have to finish my commissions and Gooble plush before I do anything though, so I’ve got time…
